Reres Road |
The council has recently published its updated priority list
of unadopted footways. There aren’t as many Broughty Ferry pavements included
in a programme of works for 2015/16 as I had hoped for but nevertheless I’m pleased
to see that another two are to be brought up to standard and adopted by the council
for future maintenance. These are: Reres Road (south footway, Monifieth Road to
Reres Park) and Abertay Street (east footway, south of Hamilton Street). Also
in the programme for 2015/16 is Stewart Street, but this has been carried over
from last year’s programme.
There are 17 unadopted pavements across the city to be attended
to over the course of the year. It is expected that the work will commence on
these schemes on a phased basis starting in early summer 2015.
The list will be updated at the start of 2016 for 2016/17 to take account of any new
information and additions to the list. There are currently four Broughty Ferry unadopted pavements
in the provisional list for next year.
