I was pleased to see that the resurfacing
of the car park in Gillies Park is nearly completed. It now has a proper surface and
lined spaces for parking, which is quite a difference to what it was like before. I previously received fairly regular contact from residents
about the condition of the car park and the representations I made to the Environment Department would result in some patching being carried out and excessive
pooling being dealt with. However due to the likely increase in usage as a result of the recent extension to nearby Barnhill Primary
School the council agreed
that the time was right to bring the car park up to standard.
