Broughty Ferry beach has received
an award from Keep Scotland Beautiful for the fourteenth year in a row. For a
beach to be successful in gaining an award it has to meet the quality benchmark
set for safety, cleanliness, facilities, information provision and beach management.
The beach is a great
asset for Dundee and it is something that is enjoyed all year round by local residents
and visitors. A Keep Scotland Beautiful survey recorded that more than a third
of visitors to Scotland go to a beach while on holiday, so it’s important that these
high standards continue to be met. Well done to all those who have made it
possible.
