Families
really enjoy the Christmas events that take place in Broughty Ferry and Dundee
each year and it has been suggested that it would be nice to see Hogmanay celebrated
as well. While not organising a city square extravaganza the city council recently
agreed to allocate money from its Common Good Fund to provide grants for community
groups and cultural organisations that are interested in organising non-commercial
celebrations to mark Hogmanay 2014.
