Readers
of this blog and my regular newsletter will know that I have been pushing for improvements
to be made to the parks and opens spaces in Broughty Ferry. Much has been done
but there is still plenty to do. I was delighted to learn of some progress at yesterday’s
meeting of the Broughty Ferry Community Planning Partnership. The meeting was informed
that the recent works carried out in Orchar Park included the planting of 42
new trees to form two tree lined avenues. Thousands of bulbs have also been planted
so that there will be a splash of colour in the spring. The new benches have
now been put in and the existing shrub beds have been tidied up and replanted.
More works are in the pipeline and I will keep you updated with the progress.
