I have received notification of a
temporary traffic order for Seafield Road as follows:
Dundee City Council propose to
make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for
the purpose of facilitating gas main renewal works. The Order is expected to be in force for
eight weeks from 15 August 2016. Its
maximum duration in terms of the Act is eighteen months.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit
temporarily all vehicular traffic in Seafield Road from number 16 to Camperdown
Street (southbound) (Phase 1) and from number 16 to Davidson Street (Phase 2).
The one-way order relating to Davidson Street
will be rescinded for the duration of the works.
An alternative route will be
available via Seafield Road, Davidson Street, Claypotts Road and Queen Street
(Phase 1) and Seafield Road, Church Street, Queen Street, Claypotts Road,
Ballinard Road, Balgillo Road and Seafield Road (Phase 2).
