I have been contacted by residents regarding the tennis
courts on The Esplanade querying why they aren’t yet in use for the summer
season.
Having raised the matter with the council a few weeks ago I learned
that it is due to the requirement to renew the south facing fence. Once this
has been done the surface will be brought up to playable standard, lined and nets
installed.
The whole process seems to be taken a while but I am assured
that the fence works will be undertaken later this month with the objective of
having everything up and running by the end of the month.
The council is working towards upgrading the tennis courts
in Dundee and hopefully The Esplanade will feature in the not too distance future.
